Victoria has over 5 years of experience teaching years 5 and 6 at primary schools around south London including Sudbourne Primary School in Brixton and St. Joseph’s RC Primary School in Norwood where she worked as a specialist maths tutor as part of the government’s National Tutoring Programme. She is a supportive and engaging teacher and has a range of strategies at hand to work with children with autism, dyslexia, ADHD as well as social, emotional and behavioural needs.
Victoria has a thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum and a variety of engaging, creative and holistic pedagogical approaches to ensure that every child meets their full potential. She has a special interest in working with reluctant mathematicians and building their confidence so that they can achieve. By making maths fun and less intimidating, she believes that all children can enjoy and succeed in maths.
Victoria is also available to tutor English (writing, reading and punctuation and grammar). With years of experience in the classroom, she can support reluctant writers and readers using up-to-date and research-based methods of teaching.
