Profile

Zipporah is an enthusiastic and engaging tutor who teaches maths and chemistry up to A level / IB, and biology and physics up to GCSE. Now as a post-graduate medical student, she also helps students who wish to study Medicine or Chemistry at university – through helping them preprare for entrance tests and interviews, to assisting with writing impressive personal statements. Having left school with 3A*s at A level in Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths, she went on to study Chemistry at the University of Oxford, graduating in 2022. She started working in education alongside her degree as a private tutor and as a university ambassador preparing students for university interviews. After tutoring full time for a few years, she is now completing a post-graduate medicine degree and combines her love of teaching and of science by tutoring part-time. Zipporah tutors to a world-wide client base and has experience tutoring successfully both online and in-person. She has strong communication skills and is experienced working with students with SEN needs, from a variety of schools, and with students whose first language is not english. She collaborates with parents and carers regularly, to make sure the needs of the student are fulfilled. Zipporah’s tutoring style is encouraging, thorough and tailored. She matches the goals of the students with how she approaches each lesson, whether that be drilling into exam technique, encouraging wider and synoptic thinking, or exploring past the syllabi and specifications. To do so, she creates bespoke resources for her students based on their academic targets and way of learning. Zipporah’s students have achieved incredible results and really enjoy their sessions.
