“Tom has over ten years of experience tutoring pupils of varying abilities at many academic levels and he thoroughly enjoys helping others to fulfill their potential. Tom prides himself on recognising the individual needs of a student in order to effectively achieve results and he has experience teaching children with SEN, including severe dyslexia, autism and dyscalculia. Tom endeavors to explain and teach in an interesting, stimulating manner to facilitate a significant increase in understanding of course material, an improved confidence and ultimately a higher working level. Maths and entrance exam preparation are Tom’s areas of expertise and his considered approach has helped students pass entrance exams for St. Olaves, Bexley, Kent, Newstead Woods, Dulwich College and JAGS. Tom also has a great track record of guiding students to reach and surpass their desired SATs, GCSE and A-level targets. Tom completed a masters degree in Astrophysics from University College London, having previously attended King’s College London where he achieved a first class honours degree in Mathematics and Philosophy. In his spare time Tom enjoys watching and playing football, dabbling in Philosophy and sampling live music.”
