Profile

Originally from Estonia, Taavi moved to Manchester to study Zoology at university, where he graduated with a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree. More recently, Taavi graduated from University College London with a distinction in his Master’s degree in Biodiversity and Global Change, where he specialised in machine learning and environmental sciences. Taavi has worked part-time as a research assistant at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, and as a postgraduate researcher at the Natural History Museum during his Master’s degree, and has confidence in teaching all sciences. Taavi is a dedicated and approachable tutor who believes in building confidence and curiosity in students through a variety of engaging methods, including storytelling, practical examples, and active problem-solving, to help them reach their full academic potential. With a strong background in maths, biology, and environmental sciences, Taavi takes a tailored approach to tutoring, ensuring lessons promote active communication, support, and are aligned with every student’s unique needs. In his time outside of work, Taavi is a part-time musician and freelance actor, working most recently on Marvel’s Kraven the Hunter.
