Louise is a passionate and empathetic tutor with extensive experience teaching students of all ages and abilities. Born and raised in South London, she attended Streatham and Clapham High school before studying for a degree in English from the University of Southampton. She then went on to achieve a distinction for her MSt in Creative Writing at Oxford University. With over four years’ experience tutoring, Louise’s teaching journey began during her master’s degree, where she tutored students online, later expanding to in-person sessions. Since then, she has worked with a wide range of learners, delivering tailored lessons to support their creative and academic goals. Her approach emphasises nurturing students’ creativity, clarity, and confidence in writing while adapting to their individual needs. She has taught a range of exam syllabuses, helping students prepare for GCSE, IGCSE, and A Level examinations. Louise has extensive experience helping 11+ students secure entry to a range of secondary schools. Among others, she has worked with students from Alleyn’s, Dulwich College, Royal Russell, and schools in the UAE and Singapore. She runs creative writing workshops for a variety of ages, and has taught after school writing clubs at Oakfield Preparatory School and James Allen’s Girls’ School.
