Profile

Leo is an accomplished tutor who specialises in Maths, English and Creative Writing as well as the 11+ exams. With over 8 years of tutoring experience, Leo’s approach centres on using fun but structured lessons to develop a rapport with his students while building up their fluency, confidence and understanding. Leo was awarded his BA in politics and English literature from the University of York and went on to teach English around Europe and in Japan, gaining a wealth of teaching experience in the process. Since then, Leo has specialised in the 11+, developing a mastery of the different syllabi and helping multiple students achieve their goals. Leo’s methods combine a fun and playful approach with a strong sense of structure and personalisation. His students have been accepted into schools including Sevenoaks, Dulwich College, Emanuel and JAGS. In his spare time Leo acts as a dramaturg to playwrights and a development executive for screen-writers in TV and Film. He loves the art of storytelling and applies the same skills to his young creative-writing students as he does his Oscar-winning screenwriters.
