Joanne

Profile

Joanne is an experienced primary school teacher and leader. She obtained a Bachelor of Education degree and QTS from North London University in 1995. She has worked in London primary schools as a teacher, mentor for teachers, leader and a SENCO. Since she was a child she wanted to become a primary school teacher and she is thankful to have achieved her dream. 

Joanne teaches all primary subjects to pupils aged from 5 - 11 years old. She has experience of preparing pupils for 7+ and 11+ examinations as well as SATS tests. 

Joanne is skilled at assessing pupils and then identifying pupil's gaps in learning. She employs a range of strategies to teach pupils so that those gaps are filled rapidly. Joanne focuses on making learning enjoyable and a positive experience. She uses praise and fosters a love of learning in pupils. Joanne frequently reads educational research,  therefore she has a sound understanding of how pupil's learn and the importance of scaffolding learning.
