Jake has recently graduated from the University of The Arts London with a distinction in an MA in Photojournalism and also has a 1st Class Degree, BA in English Literature, from the University of Manchester.
Since graduating from his MA, Jake has been teaching photography and animation to KS2 students, helping primary school students thrive creatively and explore their interests beyond the curriculum, preparing them for the transition to secondary school.
Having sat the 11+ exams for multiple schools in South London, he is also familiar with the demands of the examinations and the balance that young people must find between adequate preparation and enjoying their final years of primary school. Having also studied Literature, his passion for poetry and the study of storytelling will help students overcome the challenges of Unseen Poetry and other forms of comparative essays.
He believes that making something relevant allows it to become interesting and approachable, and has applied this belief to his latest project about the Great North Wood where he has been running workshops that inform, as well as inspire.
