Profile

Iris is an emerging theatre-maker and writer from Southeast London, recently graduated from Edinburgh with a degree in Classics. She is a passionate, personable and attentive tutor, creating a fun space that is investigatory while still thorough and focused. Her approach is keen on conversation, guiding discovery for students and motivating them to find excitement in what can at times feel like a reductive and uninspired curriculum. She is particularly keen on stories, specialising in literature, but also loves and is highly experienced in Latin language and ancient history. Iris has worked in schools to devise theatre and as a teaching assistant for children with SEND. When not tutoring, she can be found to be developing her creative craft in directing, choreography and writing. She has taken her own work to the Edinburgh Fringe, written opera for the Royal Academy of Music and performs regularly in an improvised comedy group. Other joys of hers include film, music, reading, running, travelling and hanging out with friends and family
