Profile

Iona has 5 years of experience tutoring, and has the ability to quickly create trusting and motivating relationships with her students. She believes in inspiring her students to grow an interest and love of their subject. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from the University of Bristol, where she achieved Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1). She was successful in getting a highly competitive role in strategy consultancy straight out of University and after spending 2 years in this role she is now going back to study a Masters in Physiotherapy at Kings College London. She specialises in Art, Humanities and Social Sciences: Philosophy and English Literature and Language, and has experience teaching a broad age range of students all the way from Early Years to first year University students. She also has experience tutoring Biology to younger students. Aside from ensuring her students have a strong grasp on their exam mark schemes, her approach to English and Philosophy tutoring is aimed at trying to broaden the students’ understanding of relevant literature to ensure depth and critical analysis in their essays.
