Helen

Helen is a vibrant, enthusiastic tutor who values her tutees' confidence and relationship to education within her structured lessons.

 

Helen works hard to enable students to think independently and creatively and most importantly, to enjoy their extra study time. Lesson's are tailored to each individual tutee’s needs ensuring that they can make the most out of their tuition. 

 

Her students have gained scholarships at Alleyns Dulwich College, St Dunstans, Eltham College and Colfe’s and have secured places at St Pauls, JAGs and Tiffins. Having been through the 11+ system herself  Helen understands that applying can be a pressurised and stressful time for children and their families. She works with both students and parents to make the experience as enjoyable and seamless as possible for everyone involved. 

 

As well as 11+ prep, Helen also specialises in GCSE English and can support students studying for either AQA or Edexcel exams. She helps students approach questions systematically whilst nurturing their creativity and expression. Working with Helen, students develop their capacity for more in-depth language analysis and creative writing. 

 

Helen also provides tuition across the Primary Curriculum for any students in need of extra support or a boost of confidence. 

 

Outside of teaching, Helen is an enthusiastic cook, an avid theatre-goer and enjoys taking advantage of the many cultural opportunities in South London and across the city.
