Profile

Claudia has always been passionate about teaching and has enjoyed tutoring and teaching ever since her own teenage years. Whether it be with clients, friends, or even with her own children, the satisfaction gained through assisting children and young adults to achieve their goals and success has always been a key driving factor behind Claudia’s motivation to teach. She strongly believes in learning through enthusiasm for the subject at hand. She tries to not only teach and explain the concepts, ideas, and techniques essential for academic progress but to also simultaneously stimulate enthusiasm and curiosity for the subject at hand. She aims to provide an enjoyable and tailored service to each individual, through a patient, structured, and dynamic approach to learning.

Having been born and brought up in Frankfurt, her interest in German culture, literature, and cinema is something she additionally tries to reflect and incorporate in her German teaching. Being bilingual and a native German speaker, she has also learnt to appreciate the true differences and difficulties in the German language and aims to convey her knowledge of these to the full benefit of her tutees.

In the past, Claudia also worked in schools, helping to organise public exams. Claudia has a master’s degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice from Birkbeck, University of London.

Besides her specialisation in German tutoring for all ages up to and including university level, Claudia is a very experienced 7+ tutor. Her former tutees have obtained places at Dulwich College, Sydenham High School, Alleyn’s School, and Trinity School. Additionally, she also has experience of tutoring English as a foreign language to German students.
