Timothy A is a Classics Graduate of Peterhouse, University of Cambridge. Since 2014, he has tutored students in a full spectrum of GCSE subjects, and Humanities (including Latin, History, Italian and Classical Civilisation) up to A-Level, and certain subjects to degree level.
Tim been fortunate to teach students from all over the UK and abroad, including students from top schools such as Wellington College, Cardiff Sixth Form College, Concord College, Eton College and number of schools within the Girls’ Day School Trust and the Harris Federation. He greatly enjoyed his own learning, and aims to bring that passion for academia into his own lessons. The end goal is to not only ensure that students are achieving the necessary grades, but that they are engaged and interested in the idea of learning itself, as this sets them up well for the next stage of their educational journey.
In addition to academic tutoring, Tim works with students on their university applications, with a focus on Oxford, Cambridge and Russell Group universities. This starts with subject selection and exploration, writing personal statements, preparing for admissions tests and interviews. He believes that with the right guidance, students can fulfil their potential and make successful applications to the most competitive courses and universities. As a result, he has had hundreds of successful students take up a place at Oxford and Cambridge in the past six years.
