Sophie is a highly passionate teacher of English Literature, English Language and Music (BMus, First Class Hons, University of Oxford). She has over 500 hours experience tutoring online, to students of all ages, from children as young as three, through to adults.

Her work with The University of Oxford Beyond the Dots A-Level program, Inspiring Drama, Turtle Key Arts, London Music Centre, iTutor Group and Sound and Music has provided a broad range of experience invaluable for one-to-one tuition. She is a fully qualified EFL teacher, having completed a 120 hour TEFL course at Winnerway Foreign Language School, Dongguan, China, and has also received training for working with SEN/Autistic students. Sophie is also able to offer Oxbridge interview practice and music college audition coaching.

Sophie is warm and empathetic in her approach, and aims to help each student in developing their own innate creativity, critical thinking, and sense of morality, encouraging each student to become an independent learner. Everyone is unique, and each student has their own ways in which they learn best. This is why Sophie makes sure that lessons are carefully tailored to each student, aligning learning styles with academic goals in a supportive and nurturing environment. She is constantly adapting to the individual needs of her students, aiming to give them the confidence they need to reach their full potential.
Above all Sophie strives to deliver lessons which are inspiring and fun, encouraging students to think outside the box, work critically and with an open mind, with the aim of enriching a student’s understanding of the world around them.
