After receiving 12 A*’s and 2A grades at GSCE, Rosie went onto gain A* and A grades in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Drama at A Level. Later, she turned down an offer to study Dentistry at Bristol University after earning a scholarship to study at the prestigious drama school, RADA.
It was here that her passion for tutoring began, whilst studying a Bachelor of Arts degree in Acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. During the summer holidays, Rosie planned and delivered workshops that focused on pupils furthering their understanding of classical text. The sense of accomplishment she felt when a student made a step forward was deeply fulfilling and she thrived seeing students gain confidence due to a better understanding of the craft. After graduating with a BA Honours, Rosie decided to balance her career as a young actor, with her other passion, teaching.
For the past three years, Rosie has worked as a freelance Tutor, predominantly coaching students at GCSE and A Level, specialising in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. She has also helped students prepare for 11+ exams and assisted with English Literature GCSE, guiding students to analyse Shakespeare’s plays and other set texts.
Rosie aims to provide a fresh approach to tutoring by rekindling in her students the innate desire to learn as well as helping them rediscover the sense of reward and pride that comes along with learning.
Rosie’s lessons are fun and infused with enthusiasm, as she believes we all learn better when it doesn’t feel too much like hard work.
Rosie wishes to share her knowledge and passion for these subjects to as many students as possible, and hopes to nurture in them a high level of self esteem that will stand them in good stead for future opportunities, inside and outside of a classroom.
