Robin is a friendly medical student who enjoys teaching for the same reasons he is pursuing a career in healthcare. It combines the joy of helping others and the need to learn and improve. He tailors his classes to enhance his students’ understanding, rather than promote dependence on memorisation. He has found that by reinforcing the foundations, students not only build confidence but also start to enjoy (if not at least appreciate) the subject. Robin’s own educational experiences, such as participating in the 2012 South East Asian Math Competition and having attended a United World College of Hong Kong, have allowed him to explore confusing concepts from various perspectives, making it easier for students who might struggle to grasp ideas the first time round.
Robin is a Imperial College London graduate with a degree in Biomedical Sciences and is currently nearing the end of medical studies at King’s College London. Aside from academics, he is a member of quite a few university societies, including his medical school’s hockey team. He also enjoys sailing and running whenever he gets the chance.
