Rachel has a First-Class Honours degree in Film and Theatre, a Master’s degree in Theatre Studies by Research and is currently studying towards her PhD in Shakespeare Studies at The Shakespeare Institute and the University of Birmingham.
She has worked as a professional theatre director for fourteen years in the West-End, regional and fringe theatres for fourteen years. Rachel has recently worked as the Assistant Director on a large-scale, highly successful Smith-Brant/ATG UK Tour.
Rachel regularly directs and at drama schools including Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, Rose Bruford College and Liverpool Institute for Performance Arts (LIPA). She has extensive experience in drama school audition coaching. Her recent students have received acceptances at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, Central School of Speech and Drama, Mountview, Rose Bruford College, Guildford School of Acting, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and London College of Music whilst they have also reached final recall stage at Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Oxford School of Drama, ALRA and Drama Studio. All have worked professionally across film, television, and theatre.
