Omri is an engaging and friendly tutor who finds teaching immensely rewarding. He believes that the key to effective tutoring is assessing the individual needs of each student and tailoring his teaching accordingly. His style emphasises mastery of the material and interest in the subject over rote learning and memorisation. Omri graduated from the University of Cambridge with a First in Maths, and is now studying for a PhD at UCL, specialising in arithmetic geometry. At school he achieved five A*s at A level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Latin, as well as 11 A*s at GCSE.
In his own words: “I was one of ten tutors at the Cambridge STEP Easter school in 2015 and 2016, tutoring A-level students for the Cambridge maths entrance exam STEP. In the summer of 2015 I taught English and maths at a summer camp in China and ran mock Oxbridge interviews for pupils. I volunteered at a local school, helping out in sixth form chemistry lessons and running a lunchtime coding club.”
Omri’s strong academic background ensures that he has a deep understanding of the material which he can pass on to his students through illuminating problems and examples.
