Passionate, inspiring and thoughtful, Nick is an engaging tutor, who believes tuition should be holistic and designed around a student’s individual needs and expectations.
Having left school with 10A*-A GCSEs, Nick went on to study Maths & Science at sixth form, achieving A*A*AA. Following exceptional scores in BMAT and UKCAT, he was accepted on to the competitive Medicine course at UCL. He intercalated in 2015, and graduated with a 1st class BSc in Medical Sciences with Surgical sciences. For performance, he was awarded both a Dean’s List commendation and a prize for best research project presentation in cohort.
Nick has experience as a tutor in many settings, from one-to-one to small group work. Alongside his medical studies, he taught for the Anatomy society and facilitated academic session within the faculty’s near-peer scheme. Furthermore, he mentored for UCL’s widening participation scheme for prospective students from underprivileged, inner-city state schools. This covered every step of Medical school admissions, from personal statement guidance to mock interviews.
As a current student, Nick understands that every student has a different preferred style of learning and individual needs. Throughout your sessions, Nick aims to help students identify their particular strengths, and utilize them to unlock full academic potential.
Aside from academia, Nick is a passionate actor, with experience in theatre, television and radio.
