Nicholas is an enthusiastic and engaging tutor with a decade of tutoring and teaching experience ranging from KS1 to masters students. He finished top of his year at the University of Edinburgh with First-Class honours in Environmental Geoscience and an award-winning dissertation. He went on to complete a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Manchester winning an award for his research and publishing multiple papers in nuclear chemistry journals. Nicholas prides himself on understanding people, explaining difficult concepts and enthusing his students. He works hard to tailor his tutoring to each individual so that they can feel confident in their understanding of the subject and clear in their approach to achieving the highest marks.
Alongside his tutoring, Nicholas is interested in the arts and is a writer and performer. He is passionate about comedy, theatre, politics and sports. Nicholas receives consistently positive feedback from students and parents who comment on his approachability and how much their children enjoy his sessions. His aim is always to achieve the best possible mark and believes the route to achieving this is through understanding and installing motivation in the tutee.
