Marguerita has been tutoring in New York as well as internationally since 2005 and has recently relocated to London. Her areas of specialization have been in university admissions. She tutors entrance exams for US admissions: SAT (all sections), ACT (all sections), GRE (verbal section) as well as English GCSE – language and literature, GCSE French, English A-level – language and literature. She also tutors personal statement preparation for both the US Common Application and UCAS university and postgraduate applications.
Since 2012, Marguerita has tutored students in France, Switzerland, UK, China, Russia, Argentina, and Spain. She also tutors students in academic writing and regular coursework. Her main goal is to instill confidence in students and to help them achieve their goals. Her undergraduate degree is from Columbia University, and her M.Phil is from the University of London, where she wrote a thesis on Shakespeare and modernist poetry.
She is accustomed to demanding clients and meeting high expectations, and her track record is stellar with extensive Ivy League and top tier admissions. Her students have been admitted to The University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, Columbia, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, New York University, Barnard, Skidmore, McGill, Vassar, Wesleyan, Macaulay Honors, Boston University, Tulane, among others.
She is also experienced with students who have learning disabilities and special accommodations for testing.
