Mahdi is a recent Chemistry graduate from the University of Surrey. Having previously completed a placement year at St Andrews Catholic School teaching 11-18 years old, Mahdi is experienced in teaching classes, providing 1-2-1 tuition, working with Special Educational Need students (SEN) and running extra-curricular clubs. Other relevant teaching experience includes running after-school Mathematics clubs for key stage 1 and 2, volunteering to teach Mathematics through a charity called Team Up Hub, providing tuition to underachieving GCSE Mathematics Students in the East London area and tutoring students ranging from 11-18 years of age in Mathematics and Science through tutoring companies in the Guildford area.
Mahdi is professionally trained in behaviour management, professionalism and handling of confidential information with practical experience within a secondary school environment. He has excellent time management, organisation and planning skills which he has developed through research, teaching and tutoring to deliver content concisely through a wide range of teaching methods including visual, audio and kinesthetic.
Mahdi uses a combination of innovative and traditional learning styles to suit individual student needs, with an understanding for the pace of learning at different age groups and the patience to enable students to develop a ‘growth mind set’.
