Luisa is a qualified primary school teacher with 10 years of experience working alongside young learners with a huge variety of needs and interests. She is immersed in the ever-evolving craft of delivering effective Maths and Literacy lessons to suit individuals. Breaking concepts down to manageable, visual steps and understanding their purpose is key to her teaching method. Luisa approaches learning sessions with a friendly, inquisitive and patient manner and seeks to be highly in tune with the learner’s progress and next steps. At the heart of her practice is a genuine interest in getting to know the learner and their interests. Luisa draws on the many high quality resources she has in her teacher’s toolkit, the vast knowledge she has gained through expert mentorship and her self developed learning values to prepare and deliver bespoke lessons to boost any primary learner’s confidence and skill-set as they continue on their wider learning journey. Prior to becoming a qualified teacher, after graduating from an international school and gaining her International Baccalaureate diploma, she went on to study Spanish and Film at Exeter University. It was during this time that she moved to Bilbao in the north of Spain for a year and gained experience in a secondary school as well as working with younger students at a summer camp. Here she developed her love for learning about new cultures and her understanding of the Spanish language. Since then, she has been teaching Spanish to her primary classes in London with much enthusiasm for the language and the Spanish speaking world
