Lucy graduated from Durham University in 2019, with a degree in Archaeology and Ancient Civilizations. She has a passion for Classical Civilisation and Art History, with a strong interest in Greek Theatre and Epic poetry. Lucy loves performing arts and received the highest A-Level mark for Theatre Studies in the country. She is currently studying for a Masters in History of Art and Curating at Birkbeck University.
Lucy is a vibrant, friendly and enthusiastic tutor focusing on creating enjoyable, creative and inspiring lessons for her pupils. She understands that not every child thrives in a school environment, as they may find it pressured or intimidating. She aims to make her one to one tuition as comfortable and relaxed for her pupils, so they feel the most confident they can be when learning.
Having gone to JAGS and experienced the process of the 11+ (Maths, English, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning), Lucy understands what it takes to prepare students for 11+ and 16+ entrance exams, for schools such as JAGS, Alleyn’s, Westminster and Francis Holland. Lucy draws on her own academic background in her tutoring approach, tailoring each lesson to the goals, requirements and interests of each student. Having gained Art Scholarships at both 11+ and 16+ Lucy is also able to coach students in Art portfolio sessions.
In her spare time, Lucy enjoys drawing, painting and playing the harp. She is also an avid theatregoer and loves to visit art galleries and historical sites.
