Lizzie is a recent Religions and Theology graduate from the University of Manchester. Before University, she attended Alleyn’s School.
Lizzie has been tutoring since the age of 15 and her pupils have attended various private schools in South London, such as Alleyn’s Junior School, Dulwich College, and Sydenham Girls School.
At primary level, Lizzie teaches Maths and English, and specialises in 11+ tuition, including verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Her pupils have gained places at independent schools, such as Dulwich College and Alleyn’s. At secondary level, Lizzie teaches all humanities subjects up to GCSE level, and History, Politics, English, Religious Studies, Philosophy and Psychology up to A-Level. Lizzie has helped clients with UCAS applications, including personal statement writing and interview preparation for universities.
Lizzie has experience working with children with special educational needs, such as ASD, ADD/ADHD and anxiety, and has experience in helping children who are struggling at school.
She has a kind and holistic teaching style which she has refined over 8 years of tutoring. She understands that every student is an individual and that there is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to teaching. She aims to find out what makes her students enjoy learning and brings enthusiasm and fun to her lessons.
Lizzie has worked as the manager of a tutoring agency in London and is currently undertaking a TEFL course and is in training to become a qualified counsellor.
