Lesley is a dedicated teacher who has over 18 years experience leading teachers departments and subjects to Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ in local primary schools. Graduating from the Institute of Education, she has taught children ages 3-11 from all backgrounds and has also developed programmes and supported children with Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD and Global delay. Lesley believes in personalised, active learning where children develop the skills needed to become successful independent, learners. She tunes into the natural joy each child feels when learning in order to motivate and inspire.
Lesley has had great success in accelerating children’s progress, teaching them how to be resilient, concentrate and approach learning with curiosity and calmness. She has achieved excellent results for children whether it’s teaching classes or tutoring 1-1. She is able to use her extensive teaching experience to support children with entrance exams 7+. 11+ or requirements for Independent schools, having taught at Royal Russell and worked with students from Jags and Alleyns. Lesley gained a French BA(Hons) from KIngs College, London and has used this to support children at GCSE level. She has also taught English as a foreign language to all age groups in Italy and London including proficiency to students wishing to apply to university in England. She has extensive experience of tutoring and understands the crucial value in developing a great rapport with each student, their families and teachers. Having worked with national experts, Lesley has a thorough understanding of the Primary Curriculum for English and Maths.
She loves creative writing in her spare time, music and film making. As a recently qualified Yoga teacher, Lesley has successfully used yoga and breathing techniques to help children develop their concentration and confidence.
