Leo has been keenly interested in all manners of different modern languages since childhood, and was thrilled to study French, German and Latin at school. This passion led him to gain a 2:1 from the University of Bath in Modern Languages and European Studies (focus on German and Russian), which came with a breadth of opportunities to teach English and other languages in many places.
Leo’s caring, empathetic and enthusiastic teaching style puts students at their ease, and into the best frame of mind for learning foreign languages, helping them to realise that they are more capable than their grades or teacher might say. He is particularly familiar with AQA, OCR and Edexcel exam boards but works quickly to gain an in-depth knowledge of any subject-specific exam board required, so that students know how to focus their energies into maximising their grades.
In his free time, Leo is an active musician and dramatic performer. He has extensive performance experience in plays, musicals as well as singing in a cappella groups and playing musical instruments. Leo also loves to travel, learning about new cultures as well as studying different languages to this end.
