    Laura is a highly-experienced tutor who thoroughly enjoys working with Dulwich Tutors. Her work in independent primary schools, the ISSOS Summer School at Cambridge University and tutoring at degree level for The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland has provided her with a rich skill set for one-to-one tuition.

    Laura has supported students at Hendon Preparatory School to progress in Numeracy, Literacy and Science subjects in preparation for their 7+ & 11+ entrance exams and finds private tuition an incredibly engaging environment for the student. As a qualified NVQ assessor, Laura is familiar with assessment criteria and exam boards AQA and Edexcel; this enables her to teach within the framework of examination, while also encouraging deeper exploration of subjects to build confidence and creativity. Laura’s background as a theatre director and researcher has influenced her attitude towards learning psychology and how important it is to work with each individual student to discover their most beneficial way of learning.

    With a warm and friendly approach, Laura is clear and consistent in her teaching. So, whether your child needs a little extra help to improve their performance even further, or if they would benefit from building confidence, Laura’s experience and character will be the encouragement they need. She has found that regular contact with a student provides them with a welcome anchor and support through moving schools, taking on more challenges and developing new skills.
