Jess is a graduate of UCL where she studied History of Art and received first-class honours. Her course covered Western art from ancient times right up to modern day. She also studied Philosophy and Anthropology modules during her time at university. At A Level, Jess studied English Literature, Philosophy and Mathematics, gaining 1A* and 2As and receiving full marks for her English Literature coursework.
Jess currently works as a support worker and engages with a range of clients with complex needs. She has recently gained her Mental Health First Aid Level 2 Certificate and has a lot of experience supporting those who struggle with mental health. She often takes on a tutor role for clients, and has run art and reading groups and taught a range of computer skills.
She spent time living abroad after graduating and has spent the last few years working within the charity sector. She continues to volunteer at an art group for adults and young people with learning difficulties where she works 1-on-1 with a member of the group to help them create something they are proud of.
Jess is caring, friendly and patient and remains committed to enabling her students to reach their potential. Her volunteering and work experience means she is aware of differences in learning styles and will ensure that each child’s needs are met.
In her spare time, Jess enjoys making art, playing netball and cooking.
