Jessica is a South London assistant lecturer and PhD student at the University of Kent, where she teaches English Literature to undergraduates. This involves essay marking, lectures as well as delivering seminars.
Jessica is an experienced teacher and has taught pupils of a range of ages: this has included tutoring A-Level students; teaching undergraduate seminars and delivering lectures for those studying for English degrees; and acting as a volunteer tutor for an educational charity in Hackney where she worked with Key State 3 pupils. This involved tutoring in a range of subjects, including English, Maths, History, Science and more.
She is a great believer in making lessons varied and enjoyable as well as informative. She is particularly adept at teaching literacy and writing skills, including essay structure and argumentation.
