Jamie is a warm, engaging and articulate tutor who loves building relationships with clients. He graduated from The University of Edinburgh with an MA in Philosophy. During his time as an undergraduate, he sat as the President of Edinburgh University’s Chess Society. He then went on to complete his Masters, reading Management at Imperial College Business School.
Having started tutoring before he sat his GCSE’s, he has rich experience working with a range of clients – from Primary school pupils looking to build confidence in their ability to learn to undergraduate students wrestling with complex ideas.
In older students, he specialises in teaching Economics and Philosophy, but enjoys working through challenging concepts in a range of humanity subjects. With younger pupils, his primary focus is creating an atmosphere in which learning is fun and making sure that learning is something the students look forward to doing with confidence.
He also teaches Chess and is grateful for the opportunity to share his passion for the game with pupils whenever he gets the chance!
