James is a friendly and approachable tutor who loves teaching and has experience tutoring: key stage 1, GCSE, IB, A-level and at undergraduate level. James can offer tutoring up to A-level Biology and Chemistry, and GCSE science and Maths. He also can offer tutoring for primary school age children.
James is currently studying medicine at Bart’s and the London, having previously studied Biochemistry, and has a PhD in neuroscience. During his PhD he was involved in the development of new therapies for Alzheimer’s disease, and was involved in numerous events and outreach projects, to share his passion and enthusiasm for science with children and adults.
Whilst working as a researcher, James was responsible for the teaching undergraduate students on the neuroscience course, and also supervised students undertaking dissertation projects within the lab. James also has one and a half years of experience as a teaching assistant in Clapham Manor primary school, where he worked with children aged 5-11.
