    Profile

Jack is an enthusiastic and extremely patient tutor and teacher with over 10 years experience tutoring a variety of subjects. Jack is passionate and committed to ensuring that sessions are tailored to the individual pupil’s needs, ensuring they make maximum progress and achieve excellent results.

Jack graduated from Queen Mary, University of London in 2015 with a degree in zoology. He subsequently completed a PGCE in secondary science (biology) achieving 100% on his professional development profile, graduating with Distinction and the highest mark in the science cohort for the final assignment. He has recently completed a Master’s degree in science education at UCL. Jack has taught at several secondary comprehensive schools as a teacher of science and psychology. Jack is a biology specialist and is particularly familiar with the AQA and OCR specifications for GCSE and A-level biology. Jack has also helped several students studying science and psychology gain entry to university to study medicine and BSc Diagnostic Radiography.

Aside from science, Jack has many years experience tutoring other subjects, including 4+, 7+, 11+, 13+ and sixth form entry to London’s top independent and grammar schools. He is an experienced primary aged tutor, capable of helping students with a wide range of learning needs, including those with dyslexia, dyscalculia or ASD. Unusually for a tutor, Jack tutors all three core subjects (English, Maths and Science) up to GCSE level, which makes him uniquely well positioned to help students outside of the school system to meet their homeschooling needs.

Outside of work, Jack teaches Shotokan Karate, which he has been practicing for 20 years. He also enjoys walking and cooking.

    TESTIMONIAL

[X] has so far enjoyed her session’s with both Jack and Lily. She says they are both really nice, and she feels comfortable learning with them. It’s good to know [she] feels comfortable with both tutors, and a great worry lifted knowing she’s not missing out on her education over the next few weeks.
