Isabel is a dedicated, empathetic and creative tutor with seven years’ teaching experience. She is a qualified teacher who has taught English Language and Literature, Media Studies and Drama in three schools in the UK and abroad. In this time, she has taught a range of exam boards at GCSE and A Level, and has been responsible for supporting other teachers delivering the Key Stage Three curriculum. Additionally, she has extensive experience of supporting students one-to-one, both within school interventions and as a Home Tutor. This experience includes teaching students with a range of additional needs, as well as those aiming for the highest grades.
Isabel studied English Literature and Language at The University of Leeds, graduating in 2009 with a First Class Honours Degree. She achieved 4 As at A Level and 10 A*s at GCSE. She also has a Master of Arts in Education (Distinction) from the University of Manchester, where she focused on how students can best overcome barriers to learning. Isabel loves teaching and is passionate about helping students develop confidence and skills so they can meet their educational potential.
