Holly is a recent English graduate of the University of Cambridge, and is currently studying for an MA in Modern Literature at King’s College London. Having received 1st class honours in all dissertations, Holly’s focus is on English Literature and Oxbridge preparation for all ages.
Having received A*s in all GCSEs and A Levels, Holly is also offering tuition in History, RE/Philosophy and Ethics, in which she received full UMS at A Level.
Holly has been a tutor for the past four years and has experience in teaching ages 7 to 18. She has worked directly with students studying for GCSE and A Level, and has helped a student into St Paul’s Girls’ School at 11+. She has also lived in Paris for a year, where she taught TEFL to children and adults. She has worked with children in many different contexts – as an au pair, a holiday nanny, and as a supervisor on a summer school.
Holly advocates a personal and relaxed tutoring style, where the individual’s needs can be met and their skill set utilised to the upmost advantage. She is also well versed in how to do well in exams, particularly A Level and GCSE.
In her spare time, Holly’s passions centre around art and writing. During her time at Cambridge, she directed an arts festival, edited an arts magazine, and worked as a student curator for her college. She is also an amateur photographer. She is friendly and kind, but her experience with children means she knows when to be firm.
