Harry is a friendly, patient and creative tutor with nine years of education experience, ranging from key stage one through to degree level. Passionate about teaching, he believes that everyone learns in a different way. His sessions are lively, varied and tailor made to the individual. Through a structured approach that prioritises enjoyment of the subject matter, he aims to enable students, building confidence in what they already know as a foundation for further learning.
Harry really enjoys working with younger students. He has extensive experience in supporting preparation for 7+ and 11+ entrance exams for schools including Putney High School, City of London, Alleyn’s, Channing, Ibstock Place and Westminster, as well as the Wandsworth Test. He teaches English from 7+ to GCSE, Maths for 7+ and 11+ and verbal and non-verbal reasoning.
A graduate of The Royal Welsh College, Harry also works as a playwright, actor, director and producer. He runs a theatre company, delivering creative writing and performance workshops as companions to professional productions. He has experience in teaching practical acting skills to all ages, including preparing students for drama school auditions. He has lectured at the conservatoire-style drama school Arts University Bournemouth. Harry often utilises his experience in this field to teach subjects such as maths or verbal reasoning, finding that for some students a more imaginative approach to learning can yield great results.
