Fredericka (Freddy) has a passion for instilling a love of learning and encouraging a curious mind. She realises that for tutees to really benefit from tutoring and see progress, they need to feel completely safe from judgement and feel free to express their thoughts and understandings on the topic. Equally, Freddy’s ethos is that every person is different and so will have minds that work in different ways; thus, getting to know each tutee is key in order to understand what they need in order to thrive.
Fredericka graduated from the University of Exeter in 2015 with a BA(Hons) in International Relations and French. Whilst at university, her interest in international current affairs led her to write articles for various journals, as well as becoming an editor for the university’s Politics Department’s journal. She has since worked in the finance sector, as well as having most recently spent time teaching at a top non-selective inner city state school in London. Freddy hopes to continue her studies by pursuing a masters in Development Studies later this year.
