Emmy is a dedicated, warm and supportive tutor who specialises in teaching History and Classics for all ages and Latin up to GCSE level. She studied History at the University of Sheffield and Medieval History at King’s College London, receiving a First and a Distinction respectively. Emmy is currently hoping to undertake a PhD on Late Antique Theology.
She has experience in working with children through a number of roles: these include leading historical sessions within museums and running a workshop for children at a graphic design festival. She has also periodically worked as a primary teaching assistant.
Emmy likes to take a creative and flexible approach to learning and tailors all lesson plans to suit the abilities and needs of her pupils. She always aims to create lessons that, whilst challenging, are also enjoyable. Most of all, Emmy believes being comfortable in the learning environment is key to success and so endeavours to make her students feel at ease and to encourage academic self-confidence.
