Ella is a friendly, caring and patient tutor who is motivated by a child’s energy and drive to succeed within education.
Ella graduated in 2019 with a second-class honours degree in Education and Psychology from Durham University. The education section of her degree provided insight into the various practices and theories behind key principles within education. This has enabled her to understand, coupled with her psychology knowledge, how different individuals learn, why and how to adapt to personal learning. Ella understands differences in children’s learning styles and the importance of ensuring each child has their needs and requirements met for learning and revision techniques, enabling them to reach their potential.
Currently she is studying for a Masters degree in Child Psychology at UCL with the aim to become an Educational Psychologist. Prior to University, Ella gained 2A*s in Psychology and History and A in Physical Education, dropping Biology at AS-level.
Having been diagnosed with compensated Dyslexia from a young age, Ella empathises with children who require alternative approaches to learning, such as tactile, kinaesthetic and visual methods incorporated into lessons, keeping them enjoyable and engaged.
In her spare time, Ella enjoys playing and coaching sport, particularly netball and tennis, baking and socialising with her friends.
