Elena is a London-based professional linguist with 7 years of language teaching experience. She holds a first-class degree in German and Linguistics from the University of Manchester and an MA in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Bath. Her work as a tutor since 2013 has encompassed a broad spectrum of experiences and many a positive challenge; she has taught languages to an array of students both in the UK and abroad, ranging extensively in mother tongue, age, language level and educational background. She has also taught students with dyslexia and SEN. Thanks to this broad range of experiences, Elena is well equipped to adapt her teaching approach to fit students’ needs and preferences. 

Elena is an enthusiastic tutor, who loves working with people of all ages and abilities. She specialises in Spanish, Italian, German and EFL; she has native command of English, Spanish and Italian, and has reached a level of advanced proficiency in German after having learned it from scratch at University. She thus has first-hand experience of language learning, and understands the challenges it can bring. Elena strives to meet students’ needs and facilitate their progress by means of a structured, patient, and communicative approach. She has experience preparing students for GCSE, A-level, and Cambridge EFL exams, and has aided students in meeting or exceeding their target grades in these exams. Elena also offers tuition for the purposes of practising and developing language skills regardless of level and age.

Outside of teaching, Elena enjoys acting, performing, and voice work.
