Eleanor is a qualified teacher, graded outstanding by the Institute of Education, where she trained under the Teach First Leadership Development Programme. Eleanor specialises in Primary School teaching, and has a passion for making learning creative, fun and exciting. She has experience working as a full-time Year 6 teacher and therefore she is confident in preparing Primary School children for statutory examinations and entrance examinations. Eleanor has knowledge of London independent schools and their entrance procedures, including James Allen’s Girls’ School, Alleyn’s School, and Westminster School. Additionally, she enjoys working with students to not only improve their general literacy and numeracy skills, but also to build self-esteem and confidence in learning. She is an empathetic tutor, believing that a positive mind-set and resilient approach are indispensible for effective learning.
Prior to gaining her PGCE, Eleanor attended King’s College London, where she achieved First Class Honours in her History BA. She has also worked as a teaching assistant, where she regularly tutored Key Stage One pupils. Eleanor volunteered with young people throughout her time at university, including with children with Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties; she has experience working with children who experience a range of barriers to learning, including autism, ADHD and dyslexia. She is committed to ensuring that children are empowered to reach their full potential.
