Eleanor is a creative and enthusiastic tutor who loves to teach a variety of subjects. She holds an MA in International Journalism from City University, London, one of most prestigious journalism courses in the UK. She also has an upper second class degree in BA French and Italian from Durham University. This included a year abroad where she studied and worked in Paris, Rome, Nantes and Modena.
Since moving to London, she’s worked both as a Tutor and a Freelance Journalist. This has helped her to hone excellent communication skills with adults and children alike, which she applies both to her tutoring and her journalism. Thanks to a breadth of experience, in several different countries, Eleanor quickly adapts her teaching style to the pupil and has worked with pupils from aged 11 to adult both in- person and online. This has included A Level, GCSE, homeschooling pupils and teaching with dyslexia.
Eleanor gained A*AA at A Level in Art, Biology and French and held an Art Scholarship throughout her time at The King’s School, Canterbury. She went on to learn Italian from scratch at university which has left her with a deep understanding of the best ways to learn a language and a passion for language learning, having taught English abroad as well as Italian and French here in London. Eleanor is very artistic and, wherever possible, tries to come up with innovative and creative ways to teach pupils, adapting lessons to the pupils interests.
