Dale graduated in English from St John’s College Cambridge and subsequently trained as an actor at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
His work with the Royal Shakespeare Company and Shakespeare’s Globe has led to numerous teaching engagements working with students on all aspects of text and performance.
He has taught at universities across the United States, as well as at the British American Drama Academy in London, and conducted workshops in schools in the UK, including courses run by the National Youth Theatre in conjunction with the BBC Schools Shakespeare Festival.
During the covid pandemic, Dale worked as an academic mentor at the Oasis Academy Shirley Park, supporting English GCSE and A Level students, one-to-one and in small groups.
He has experience teaching many levels, from 7+, 11+, GCSE and A Level, additionally working as a coach on interview techniques and general communication skills for personal impact.
Dale is also a qualified teacher of English as a foreign language and, as a fluent German speaker, spent several years living and teaching in Berlin.
