Bethany is a friendly, intelligent and creative tutor who strongly believes in the importance of celebrating each child’s strengths.
She has a First Class degree in History from Oxford University and a Masters in Acting from East 15 Acting School.
During her studies at Oxford, she was highly commended for the Wylie Prize, awarded for the best thesis in American history. At Cheltenham Ladies’ College, Bethany was a hard-working and ambitious student, achieving 41/45 points in her International Baccalaureate. She received one of the highest marks in the country for History at Higher Level.
Bethany began volunteering as a classroom assistant when she was still in school. This is where her passion for teaching started, and she had her first experience of working with SEN students. Since then, Bethany has undertaken a teaching internship and tutored Maths, English, primary-level science, 11+ for Dragon School and 13+ for Radley. She is also qualified to offer Oxbridge interview practice and has experience in History, Economics, Drama and Theatre Studies.
Most recently Bethany has been working as a Literacy Support Tutor for William Tyndale Primary School. In addition, she has experience working as both a part-time and live-in nanny.
When not tutoring or teaching, Bethany takes great pleasure in staying creative through a mix of acting, writing, and reading. She also enjoys keeping active through a combination of yoga, dance and running.
