With over five and a half years experience as an education consultant working closely with some of the UK’s leading independent schools, Anatoly has positioned himself as a tutor with extensive insight regarding independent school entrance examinations and on-going changes within the sphere of UK education.

Specialising in KS2, KS3, 11+, 13+ and UCAS mentoring, he has gained over 400+ hours of online and in-person private tutoring experience. Having successfully helped students achieve success in their entrance exams to both UK and European schools, (including the likes of Stowe, Dulwich College, Alleyn’s, Blackheath High (GDST), Ardingly College, Tonbridge, St. Dunstan’s, Colfe’s, Wetherby Senior, Whitgift and Le Rosey, amongst others), rapport and confidence building is central to his enthusiastic tutoring approach.

With a good knowledge of varying entrance requirements, Anatoly has a refined teaching structure tailored specifically to individual needs – taking into account a student’s strengths, weaknesses, ambitions and academic/extra-curricular interests.

Born and educated in the UK, Anatoly graduated from the University of Manchester with a 2:1 in Russian Studies, after which he immediately immersed himself in the world of international education. When not tutoring, Anatoly sits on the governing board of a South London state primary school and also works for an organisation specialising in higher education opportunities in the USA.

”We finally heard from Alleyn’s this morning and our son has got a place, as well as one at Emanuel and St Dunstan’s. Thank you again for all your help in preparing him for the exams, and for the support you’ve given us and him over the 16 months of tutoring.“
“Thank you so much for all your help and expert tuition. We have been so impressed with the way you go about tutoring and the excellent feedback you give along the way. A. has benefitted in so many ways from the time that she has had with you – not only in her maths and english, but in the way that she is approaching her school work across all subjects. We really hope that you will be able to help with her brother when the time comes.”

“Anatoly’s in-depth understanding and knowledge of private schools and the entrance system was clear to see and comforting. His experience allowed the correct assessment of our child’s strengths and weaknesses. His advice and teaching provided our child with the ability to approach private school assessments with calm and the right amount of confidence. We also saw a steady improvement at our current school. The final outcome was smiles all round with a place awarded at our child’s first choice school and giving him a broader sense of achievement.”

“From a long list of potential tutors, we chose Anatoly as he sounded not only good academically, but also a kind human being who would support our daughter with her confidence taking the 11+. He was only with us for three months but in that time, he went through everything she needed to know for her exams. She really enjoyed the sessions with him, has done really well and passed her exams.”

“Anatoly was involved in the 11+application process for my son, including suggesting and liaising with a number of potential schools for entry in 2016 […] Anatoly has been able to inspire our son to become more self-motivated which has positively influenced his study skills, concentration and time management […] We are extremely pleased with how our son performed in his end of year examinations and are grateful to Anatoly for his help over the last two years.”

“We booked Anatoly to help our son prepare for the 11+ entrance exams. Our son lacked confidence and needed help both with learning new topics and having the confidence to answer questions in a test/exam setting. We would be happy to recommend Anatoly as the proof is in the results he produced. Anatoly nurtured our son to increase his confidence and enjoyment of the subjects. Each week our son looked forward to the sessions, worked diligently and went from saying Maths was his worst subject, to Maths being his favourite. The addition of Anatoly for us, we believe, really boosted him academically and in terms of his overall confidence. Anatoly was diligent in helping us prepare for the exams and subsequent interviews.”
