Profile
Alice is originally from Newcastle upon Tyne and studied at Glasgow University gaining an MA Arts in English and Theatre Studies then later won a scholarship to ALRA where she achieved an MA in Acting. Alice now works as a facilitator, tutor and has over 7 years experience as a Teaching Assistant in an SEN Primary School.
Alice’s approach to tutoring is adaptive, creative and sensitive. She believes finding the right boundaries and routines for each student is important to build confidence and creates an encouraging, nurturing and fun atmosphere.
She loves to bring her creativity to sessions, particularly with students who protest they hate English, she’ll always find a way in. Alice also finds the more creative the learning can be, particularly around exam time, the more beneficial it can be. She is very experienced with children who have Autism and ADHD and has successfully helped GCSE and A Level students up their grades significantly in both the state and independent sectors across most exam boards.
