Having grown up in a bilingual household in Germany, Alexandra was instilled with a love for foreign languages and cultures at an early age. After her BA in Linguistics and Cultural Studies in Germany, she spent some time working and studying in Spain and Italy and then went on to do a Master’s in International Journalism in London.
Alexandra has been tutoring languages all throughout her adult life, with students ranging from young EFL learners, Italian beginners, Spanish A level to German degree level learners. She has prepared students for their 11+, GCSEs, university entrance exams and has worked as an personal EFL teacher for a SEN student as well as working as a residential tutor abroad and volunteering as an English teacher in Cambodia.
She is currently working on obtaining her CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults). Alexandra enjoys writing, travelling, classical ballet, Taekwondo and going on trekking trips.
