Yatu is a kind, reassuring tutor with a masters degree in chemistry from Oxford University. Yatu is extremely passionate about all the sciences especially chemistry, and is to start a PhD programme in October 2017. Yatu attended Dulwich College and achieved straight A’s in his A levels: Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Further Maths. After going to Oxford University in 2008, Yatu continued to tutor students, helping them prepare for 11+,13+, GCSE, and AS/A-level. Yatu finds tutoring highly rewarding and derives great satisfaction from it.
In his own words: “With all my students, I try to instil in them a logical way of approaching any questions or topic they face, so that they can think independently about the subject, and gain a deeper understanding of the subject. I feel this has been a highly successful technique for all the students I have tutored. In my spare time I like to read, run, go to gigs/theatres and play for the local football team.
“My son got a scholarship (we found out today), so we are very grateful for all Emmanuel did. My son really enjoyed the tutorials; they gave him confidence and polished his exam technique.”
Tom Fenton is a marvellous tutor, striking a perfect balance of erudition, encouragement, judicious pressure, kindness and humour. His work with my daughter produced stellar results in the form of three scholarships; I can’t recommend him too highly.
