Will is a bright, personable and organised tutor who has extensive tutoring experience. He graduated in 2015 with a 2.1 from Oxford University in History and moved to London to work as a writer for television and radio.
He has spent the last year tutoring part-time and aswell as teaching English, History and Politics has successfully coached pupils through entrance and scholarship exams for secondary school and Oxbridge.
At Tonbridge School he achieved 3 A* at A Level, 5 As at AS Level and 12 A* at GCSE and now enjoys passing on the wisdom of how to succeed in a range of public exams. However he always bears in mind that the most important aspect of tutoring is fostering an enthusiasm for the subject and this can be done with a range of fun and interesting learning exercises.
With a background in comedy, having been the President of the Oxford Revue, Will is able to make his lessons both funny and unique. By finding the unusual or the bizarre in any period, lessons become memorable and exciting as opposed to a chore!
William was very helpful in showing my daughter ways to improve her skills in A level essay writing, understand the structure of English Texts and carry out meaningful comparisons between them. William was practical and focused on techniques that would help her achieve higher marks.
He is currently tutoring my son focusing on GCSE level poetry. William is easy to get on with, enthusiastic and a good tutor despite his young age. His style of teaching is very approachable and is adjusted to the needs and personality of his tutee.
