Margarita is a friendly and enthusiastic tutor who first started tutoring whilst studying for her A-Levels at Alleyn’s School. Since graduating, Margarita has enjoyed committing more of her time to tutoring, which she balances alongside her work as a freelance film writer and director.
Margarita has offered tuition services for the past six years and has experience tutoring 7+ Literacy and Numeracy, all aspects of the 11+ and 13+ Entrance exams, and English, History, French, Spanish and Maths GCSE. She also tutors A-Level English and History, and offers help with Oxbridge admissions. Her proudest tutoring achievements including lifting a History GCSE grade from a D to an A*, and helping a student receive a scholarship to Dulwich College.
Margarita graduated with a BA in English Literature from the University of Cambridge and finds it a joy to share her love of learning with her students. Her approach to teaching is rooted in the belief that students do better when they are passionate about the task at hand, and so she looks for ways to engage and motivate her students as much as possible. She finds tutoring intellectually stimulating and incredibly fulfilling.
“My son got a scholarship (we found out today), so we are very grateful for all Emmanuel did. My son really enjoyed the tutorials; they gave him confidence and polished his exam technique.”
Tom Fenton is a marvellous tutor, striking a perfect balance of erudition, encouragement, judicious pressure, kindness and humour. His work with my daughter produced stellar results in the form of three scholarships; I can’t recommend him too highly.
